Privacy

This explains what personal information Crewed Up collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who is responsible

Max Dixon, sole trader, Melbourne. ABN 35 394 632 210. Contact: max@crewedup.com.au.

What I collect

  • From venues: what you put in emails or texts, or tell me on calls, such as your name, email, phone number, venue, the roles you are hiring for and your opening date.
  • From candidates: your name and contact details, your CV, your video introduction, and my notes from our screening chat.
  • From public sources: business contact details of venues that are about to open, taken from liquor licence notices, ABN records and venue websites, so I can contact them.
  • From everyone who visits this site: the basic access logs the web host keeps, which include your IP address and browser type.

Why I collect it and who sees it

I use it to reply to you, to run a search, and to introduce candidates to venues. A candidate’s details go to a venue only with that candidate’s agreement.

I never sell personal information or share it with advertisers.

Where it is held

Email is handled by Zoho Mail in its Australian data centre. My call list and this site are hosted by Vercel, and my call notes, calls and text messages are kept on my own computer and phone. Candidate CVs and videos are kept in my email. Vercel may hold information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first.

How long I keep it

I delete venue and candidate details when you ask, and otherwise after two years without contact. If you ask me not to contact you again, I keep your email address or phone number on a do-not-contact list so that I never do.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email max@crewedup.com.au.

If you have a complaint, email me first. If you are not satisfied with my reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If anything on this site is hard to use, email max@crewedup.com.au and I’ll fix it or send the information another way.
